DataMAPt, Inc. Public: DataMAPt Appliance- Installation Steps to get your appliance installed

Overview

Depending on the size of your network, you will receive either a 1U server, 2U server or a small Pi. Our customer support staff will help determine which appliance is best suited for your company. All of these appliances are pre-configured to connect back to the DataMAPt network and should require minimal effort to deploy. Once connected, the appliance will monitor your network and send monitoring data back to DataMAPt via an encrypted connection.

Installation

1. Rackmount (if necessary)

2. Plug in network cable

3. Add power

For Pi series appliances the unit is powered via USB with an AC Adapter.
For the rackmount appliances, use a standard 12V power cord. Press power switch to power on.

Requirements

1. A place to install the appliance server.

2. DHCP enabled on the network. For networks without DHCP, see network configuration instructions.

3. Ports 1194 and 24240 need to be open outbound to 199.45.236.0/24.
