Installing an extractor with two connections gives you all the advantages of an extractor on site plus a third view of the network.

1. Added redundancy: If the first connection is down but the second one is still intact then you can still upload monitoring information to the DataMAPt database with no delays.
2. Having a second connection gives you diagnostic visibility into the network should the first connection be unavailable.
3. Metrics can be monitored from three points, giving you added insight into resource availability and how fast the resources can be accessed from multiple points in the Internet.
